This family is not only gorgeous, but they are so sweet and down-to-earth. Full of joy, love, and tenderness. I had the honor of capturing this, now-three-year-old, when she was a newborn, and pretty soon, I’ll get to do the same for her brother. I’m so humbled that I have the privilege of capturing families welcoming new additions! Not only do I adore this family, but I am so grateful they were up to my idea of a lifestyle (studio) session.
I LOVE lifestyle sessions. The idea of bright, relaxed images inspires me. (well so do the darker, moodier, lifestyle images. Haha.) Lifestyle images feel more relaxed for the family because we are less worried about posing, and looking perfect, and are focused on capturing the NOW. This moment. When your three year old grins ear to ear after jumping on the bed! Or does a little roll off the bed into her daddies arms. Or stops to pose and then runs over to the camera to see if she approves of the shot or not.
Not only are these sessions fun for families, but it’s fun for me too, as their photographer. I get to be creative, look for different perspectives. I get to observe kiddos and help their parents to freeze time.
Not everyone has a home with incredible light, and so I thought it would be fun to bring the idea of lifestyle photography, from the clients home, to a studio so that more families can enjoy this style of portraiture without having to tidy up and/or redecorate. The idea is to just load up the kiddos in the car, and let them loose in this bright and open environment.
If you are interested in signing up for an upcoming lifestyle mini session, please don’t hesitate to sign up. Lifestyle studio mini sessions are only available for February 24th and 25th, so Claim your spot now 🙂
We are now booking into June 2018. If you would like to capture your new addition or growing family, please contact me and we can begin working together to plan the perfect session for your family.
