Folks probably don’t realize how much goes into a newborn photoshoot. That is until I arrive at their home with all my blankets, lighting, props, etc.— setting up a newborn studio in the home.  I remind the families that that even though it looks like I’m moving in, as my assistant and I carry loads of goodies into the home, we won’t be there forever….just for a few hours.  A perk of me taking over a room in your home is building a relationship with older siblings.  I love when they want to be a part of things. I believe it helps them buy-in to the whole experience, getting them excited to be participate in the photoshoot like this big brother.
Sometimes I can’t choose between black & white images, and color.  This is one of those images where I love both for different reasons.  I do love the moodiness of the black and white matte edit, but I love the simplicity of the color.

A perk of going to my clients homes is the ability to do a posed newborn style, as well as some lifestyle shots of your family.
