I realize some folks have a hard time choosing between mini sessions and full photoshoots.  There is a fear that your kids might not cooperate for a whole family session, and so a 15 minute shoot seems like a good alternative, for the budget, kids, and dads alike.  However, this family right here, this is the reason I LOVE and recommend full family photoshoots.  I get to capture you and your tribe having fun.

I realize families with small children don’t love doing photoshoots in the golden hour, as it intrudes on your kiddos evening routine.  But these images below are the reason I shoot at the sunset.  That golden glow adds so much depth and emotion to the images that you can’t get mid-day, or even late afternoon.

Also, can we acknowledge how beautiful it is to have family portraits taken near water?  The light, reflection of the water, sweet family interactions just steal my heart.
